Declarer knew her way round a pack of cards. After crossing to clubAK she cashed diamondAK ditching her two spade losers and ruffed a diamond in hand, confident in the knowledge that the opening lead had marked North with four diamonds. clubK, club ruff was followed by a spade ruff in hand. With everyone down to three cards, West led club10 to end-play North.
