With South's likely shortage in clubs there is no need to look much further than a low card in your longest suit. Declarer scoops up partner's queen with his king and plays a low spade to dummy's ace. spade10 from dummy holds and North wins the next spade with king as partner plays low. Meanwhile you have pitched a heart and a diamond on the spades and, when North crosses to diamondA to lead a fourth round of spades to your partner's queen, you throw another heart. You win partner's club2 return with your seven.
