At the table West played low without a flicker, persuading declarer to insert the nine. After winning with spadeJ, East cashed club10 and led a low diamond. South finessed and West won to cash his remaining clubs, forcing South to pitch two diamonds and a heart. heartJ switch for West was covered by dummy's king and ace from East, who continued the suit. Declarer was still hankering after those potential spade goodies, so although heart10 was a winner he overtook with heartQ to take the "marked" spade finesse. West won spadeK and led a diamond to East who had only heart winners remaining. Five off doubled on a part score board!!!
