Today's deal comes from a Gold Cup match many years ago, and was used as an example deal in the annual Bols Bridge Tip competition. From memory, and I am sure someone will tell me if I am wrong, Bols is a Dutch company who make interesting liqueurs - maybe one of their executives was an avid bridge player. Over the years Bols was certainly responsible for some very useful expert tips being aired amongst those of us operating at less exalted levels in the bridge hierarchy. On a personal note, I might add that none of them seem to do any good!
