After North's 4spade, South bid 6club to show no losers in that suit and North leapt to the spade grand slam. North might have asked why East had not led a traditional trump against a grand, but surely he took the percentage line by cashing a precautionary top trump. 7spade was one off and 17 IMPs went out instead of 12 IMPs in.
