After learning of North's shape East would presumably choose either 3diamond or 3heart as an implied cue bid to show a big spade fit, so maybe a delayed 3heart by East shows . hearts!! I didn't get to hear what East held, but maybe it was something like the hand shown.

It's not often that a player deliberately opts to play in a suit where he knows that an opponent holds five, but it happened in today's hand which comes from the Junior European Championship of last year.
