After an initial pass from North, East opened a weak 2spade and West raised to game. Out of the blue North reopened with an "action" double! South bid 4NT to offer a choice of resting spots and West started doubling. East-West's team were 38 IMPs ahead going into the last 16 boards and by the time the bidding had finished West was imagining that this deal would clinch the match.
