At the table West fell for something more seductive than Helen of Troy. He played low from dummy and won with the queen. Seeing that he could dispose of both remaining heart losers, he cashed diamondK, crossed to spadeJ and ditched two hearts on diamondAQ. Unfortunately for West, North ruffed the second of these and continued with another heart. Looking worried now, West ruffed with spadeQ and led a low club so South won with the ten and continued with another diamond. West's high trumps were being exhausted and eventually North-South took four tricks with club10 and three trumps, spade1086. (note that heartA did not score). And what about the beautiful woman .....
