West must have five spades, a singleton club and three or four diamonds, so at least the hearts will be breaking. Where is the queen? Surely with a spade honour, heartQ, diamondQ, and clubKQ1087 East would have opened in third position, so West must have heartQ. In that case the way forward is clear. Lead heartJ and run it when West plays low. spadeA, spade ruff, heartK, diamond ruff and heartA.
