One of similarities between the bidding and the play is that it's the final result that's important, no matter how it is achieved. On the other hand, one of the major differences is that it's much easier to end up with the correct result in the bidding having gone completely wrong en route. It's not so easy to do that during the play!
In today's deal there was a hiccup in the bidding, but the final contract was OK. Just to refute what I have written above, declarer went wrong in the play, but it all came good in the end. Next Page
