Many years ago I remember Tony Sowter playing at the EBU summer congress at Brighton. He found himself on lead against a grand slam and after several minutes thought tabled his selected card. He'd led the only suit (declarer had bid it twice) to break up a squeeze and beat the slam. That was the good news. The bad news was that he'd led 3 from 103 and picked up partner's J865 - dummy had singleton 7 and declarer AKQ942. On any other suit lead declarer would rattle off all the side winners and squeeze partner in the black suits for the vital thirteenth trick.
