The winning declarer exited with clubJ at trick three. South won and switched to a diamond, so dummy won with diamondK and declarer ruffed a club in hand. A spade to the queen, a second club ruff in hand, spadeA and a third spade put North on lead with the jack. What could the defence do? South had to ruff high to take the next trick and so was forced to lead into East's tenace.
