When I saw this hand I had mentally opted for 3NT, but f-of-f decided that nothing less than a jump shift would do, and because he wanted to check on a spade fit, he plumped for 2spade. The bidding eventually ended at 6spade but f-o-f had absolutely no idea what was about to tabled.

What would you expect?
