Ever heard of the expression stripe-tailed-ape double? This is when you double the opponents, usually at the five level, to prevent them going on to bigger and better things. If they redouble you will turn and flee, stripe-tailed-ape style, back to the sanctuary of your own suit. As East ruefully remarked afterwards, with a rather apt comment, "West's final bid is a stripe-tailed-ape double in the pass-out position!
