If declarer started with heartAJx - tough! The contract was always unbeatable after that lousy lead.

North's line was completely barmy of course. After deciding to adopt the diamond ruff line she should have attacked diamonds while there remained no possibility of the defence playing a third round of trumps. Eventually a diamond is ruffed in the North hand and declarer loses just two clubs and a diamond.
