While the winning line readily presents itself, a very contrite North found a ridiculous way to go down after taking too long to ponder the problem. The best line is to win spadeA, unblock diamondA, return to dummy with heartQ and cash diamondK to ditch the losing spade. The clubs certainly need to be no worse than 4-2, so declarer now runs clubJ. The finesse loses but declarer ruffs the diamond return, plays clubA, ruffs a club high and draws trumps.
