Duncan Happer took the brave decision to bid 7spade - after all this was the last board of a close match. As you can see the grand slam was cold in both major suits although, considering the North-South hands in isolation, 7spade is the better slam because there are still chances where West has four hearts. In the other room East-West sacrificed in 7diamond and were allowed to play there, losing 1400. By the way, the suggestion that South might bid 7NT was deliberately flippant - but even that makes on a diamond lead!
