South backed his new found sense of judgement by bidding one for the road! Of course 7club was absolutely cold - but can you imagine how West felt!!?? Sometimes it does not do to be too greedy.

In the other room North-South ignored their cold grand slam and stopped off to double West in 4spade doubled. That was bad, but not as bad as failing to defeat it! East-West +590.
