. . . North had become declarer and misjudged the play badly. Declarer overtook the club lead to lead diamondJ, losing to the king and a diamond was returned. After ace and another diamond, ruffed by North, a small heart went to dummy's king and then declarer played another trump. East drew two rounds but was end-played, having to exit with a either spade or club. Although declarer made ten tricks it was a poor score.
