I know it's hard to believe, but East had ducked with diamondK! South must have been a suspicious bloke because he spurned the finesse by crossing to diamondA, finessed club10 and cashed the remaining clubs ending in hand. Quite why he hadn't retained the fifth club in dummy, history doesn't tell, but maybe it was so much more satisfying to exit with a spade and wait for two heart tricks!
