Frimann opened the bidding with 1heart and his partner bid 2NT, game forcing with four hearts (but usually with a better hand). South rebid 3NT, intended as showing a balanced hand but understood by North as extra trump length. After cue-bids of 4club, 4diamond South thought that only the spade control was required and bid 4NT, RKCB, and so the final contract became 6heart!
