West's lead shows a four card suit, and unless West is 4-4-4-1 he will have at least nine red cards. East might have one of the outstanding high cards and considering the bidding and opening trick it's much more likely to be a black king than a red ace. Besides, if East does have a red ace the club finesse will be working. This all adds up to the fact that you should attack hearts before clubs, and if West ducks heartJ you should continue with a diamond from dummy. Only when three red suit tricks are in the bag do you attack clubs.
