Personally I would pass in sleep, but maybe you think East's 4spade is far too pessimistic. Let's say you make another minor try with 5club and you punish him by leaping to the slam after he has shown a heart feature. This slam is over optimistic on these combined cards, but how should East play after clubA lead? In both rooms declarer ruffed the opening lead and played a low diamond to the queen which held.
