Sitting North, I decided that the purpose of this hand would be to illustrate one of Mr. Bowyer's favourite hobby horses, making sensible bids and taking your medicine when appropriate. So, curbing my natural inclination to bid 3NT and hoping for 200, I stupidly decided to pass 3spade - ending the bidding. Had I made the obvious double partner would have bid 4heart and played there. How should it go on spadeK lead? East wins the singleton ace, presumably singleton, and returns a diamond to West's ace who continues with spadeQJ and you ruff. Your move.
