If you play a diamond declarer will have nine winners - a spade, three hearts, three diamonds and two clubs, so you'll have to play a spade - and best is the jack. If you play ace and another you will be squeezed when South cashes heartQ, but if you exit with the jack then you can spare spadeA when heartQ is played. After all, you know partner has spade10 - otherwise why did declarer not play low at trick one. The defence will then come to one spade, two clubs and two hearts.
This was the position with West on play after winning the clubK.....
