At the table declarer decided to go in with heartA and confirm that all was well with the clubs by cashing the ace. When South showed out declarer was in trouble and continued with a low spade from dummy. North flew in with spadeA and switched to a diamond, won by South who continued the suit. East was still in a state of shock and by trying a forlorn heart towards the queen only succeeded in allowing South to cash out for three off.
