Yes, sick isn't it? With North being void in clubs there is a larger possibility of him holding four hearts, and therefore the odds are 2 to 1 that he holds the jack - a finesse of the ten being called for. It can be a cruel game.

At the table West led clubJ at trick two - a very strange play from a World Championship contender. After all, did he really expect North to cover with the queen holding clubQx(x)? We'll never know if he'd have finessed heart10, but at least his team-mates would have been sympathetic - as opposed to their feelings about the actual line taken.
