~ Natural, asking about clubs
# three to an honour

The North-South pair was part of a very strong Italian team using the Blue Club. 1NT was strong, 2club Staymanesque, 3club natural and asked about clubs. North's 3spade showed three to an honour and after that South asked for aces and bid 7club when he heard about diamondA. With dummy's diamond values largely wasted, the grand slam was highly ambitious. West led club4 and when the ten was played from dummy East threw a small diamond.
