As I explained in our very first article on 08/10/2000, I once had the opportunity to play a Devil's Coup in a very dubious slam. The distribution of the opposition cards was perfect to bring it off, but the cards were not. One of the defenders held QJx of trumps and I got what I deserved - minus 13 IMPs . . . . .
3NT on today's deal might be a slightly better bet . . . . .
