Your obvious goal is to draw trumps and run the diamond suit, and although the trumps are more likely to be 4-2 than 3-3, you can cater for this adverse situation by ruffing at trick two and immediately ducking a trump - conceding your trump loser early rather than later. If the defence continue with clubs then you have he security of a trump in dummy, so you can ruff, return to hand with spadeA and draw the remaining trumps. As long as the diamonds are not 4-0 you will take eleven tricks. If they are 4-0 and/or the hearts are 5-1, then partner will have to learn to bid better.
