First things first! The clubs may appear to be a banker for six tricks, but unless you took the precaution of leading the nine initially then you will be going down in your contract because the clubs are blocked. It's an easy-to-miss position that would have much more significance if it occurred unannounced at the table. After all, we would all pick this cost-nothing play when presented as a problem, wouldn't we?
