You may remember that declarer won the second spade with the king and crossed to hand via heartK to lead club6 to the eight and dummy's king. To beat the contract you had to win immediately and return a club, but if declarer draws two rounds of trumps the contract is rigid. If you win the first club as before and return one then declarer simply ducks club10 to end-play East Ten tricks! Notice this ducking line does not work if North draws one round of trumps - East has a safe trump exit.

But what if East or West goes bananas and sacrifices in 4spade?
