. . . but a club would not be right. The suit in which you need a ruff is spades and that is what you should lead now. Partner puts in the ace and returns one - perhaps expecting you to ruff. Declarer runs this to the jack and plays ace and another trump. Partner wins, gives you a spade ruff and now you switch to a club. Partner wins clubAQ and reverts back to diamonds. Although declarer can pick up your trump he cannot get back to dummy and has to concede a diamond. Simple. I'm sure that you would have found it, but I struggled to find it double-dummy!
