Hearts?? Yes, declarer led heartQ at trick two!!! You can guess what happened - thinking that declarer held heartJ and was either genuinely attempting to establish the suit or create an entry to dummy, West won heartK and continued with queen and another diamond. Meckstroth knew what to do then - the hearts were abandoned as he cashed his other seven black suit winners. What a wonderful scam - one all bridge players love to pull off successfully.
