I judged much less than beautifully by doubling Joan's 3diamond - even now I think it's tough to find the disciplined Pass. Nine tricks were soon wrapped up when I led a club.

Notice the symmetry between the two deals - in each case RHO opens 1NT and South preempts with a 7-4-1-1 shape. This time I felt very sorry for West as I wrote down minus 470.
