South made a baby false-card with diamond8 and it was the difference between plus 590 and minus 100. West could not tell whether it was his partner or declarer who had been dealt a singleton, and therefore switched to his own singleton at trick two. Declarer won, cashed spadeA, came to hand with clubK and successfully finessed in spades. After drawing the last trump he simply threw one loser on diamondQ and there was still the jack there to mop up another. Ten tricks.
