Declarer ruffed in the dummy and ruffed his other two heart losers using trumps as entries to return to hand. He then crossed back to hand with another trump and cashed the last two spade winners, subjecting North to a strip-squeeze. Declarer knew that North would have clubA because of the bidding, but he had to pray that North also held four or more diamonds. On the last trump North had to come down to the bare clubA to retain four diamonds, and so West simply discarded diamond4 from the dummy and led a low club from hand. 6spade made! Note that on a trump lead declarer would be an entry short of being able to ruff all his losing hearts and end in hand to run the trumps for the squeeze.
