Good Score For the Perpetrator

7NT logo
Weak jump overcalls, weak opening twos in the majors, pre-emptive three bids, light opening bids at the one level, opening 2NT to show the minors with 5-9 points - where will it all end!? All these weak bids are becoming popular for two main reasons:
1) Most players have a low tolerance threshold to passing throughout
2) They work!

In today's hand a weak jump overcall produced a good score for the perpetrator, but as usual it need not have been like that.
