This is one of those hands where a defender has not made the best lead and you have to avoid handing back the advantage, for if you play a diamond too early then West will know what to do. You can see what is required - nothing special - just draw trumps. When East shows out on the first heart you can finesse against West's heartJ for one extra trick, but you will either need to find the spadeK coming down in three**, or diamondA onside for the twelfth trick. In all you make four trumps, four hearts, two spade ruffs and either diamondKQ or diamondK/spadeQ.

One afterthought - why was West so quiet with such useful spade support?

**Assuming you didn't play spadeQ at trick one.
