One of the problems which the bridge world faces is the difficulty of attracting young players to the game when there are so many alternative pursuits. Quite simply, unless we continue to work hard at advertising the game to juniors of school age, who may thereafter become hooked for life, our game will die. As I am an old git who doesn't play much, you might say I don't see any outstanding young players, but fortunately I do.
