Yes, why not - we have an excellent spade suit and partner must have plenty of values which are useful to us. I decided I wanted to hear partner's opinion rather than purely the number of aces he held, so I bid 5diamond rather than 4NT. His response of 5heart left me in no doubt about bidding the slam. I received an opening trump lead that made life relatively straightforward, but at another table West found the most challenging lead of a heart. It must be right to play low and hope that West has heartK but no, East wins and returns another heart.
