When a match ends in a very close result it's quite usual for all the participants on the losing side to look down their card and think "I could have won it on that board .. or that one ... or that one . " etc etc. Very often it will be one of those 20+ IMP swings that sticks in the memory - you know the type - make your slam and it's +11 IMPs, go down in your slam and it's -11 IMPs. In today's deal one player encountered just such a situation, knowing full well that it was likely to be crucial in the final result.
