At the table North bid 3club. I don't much like 3club and I suspect that I would have chosen a modest 2diamond. This North was made of sterner stuff and continued to bid his 12 count as though he had an extra ace and an extra trump too.

Unfortunately you are North's partner, and have to play this 22 point slam. No problems for a player of your calibre. West gets you off to a wonderful beginning by leading club10.
