Soloway had a little think about this. 15 minutes of think. The other three players eventually to decided to stretch their legs while the Vugraph screen showed a solo Soloway at the table. What was he thinking about? Who knows - maybe a 4-0 trump break? Eventually Soloway discarded, so West won clubK and led a low diamond. Declarer threw a heart from dummy so East ruffed and spadeK became the setting trick.

One of the world's greatest players had got it wrong after going into the tank, so perhaps there's hope for us all.
