Given the clues about the lead methods did you play the ten? I suspect most players would, but it occurred to me after the match that it would have been imaginative to play the five!! What would declarer do if he was VOID in hearts? He would require an entry to dummy outside of hearts and diamonds are the only reasonable alternative. Partner has either three or four diamonds, but if declarer had diamondAx surely he would have risen with diamondQ in the hope of reaching dummy. What could playing low from the East hand cost - surely declarer must have some diamond values because you know his clubs and spades cannot be solid.
