Well, which heart did you win with? Did you win the queen and lead a low one? Or were you slightly more cunning? If you thought about winning with the ace and returning a low one in order to give the impression that South started with heartQxx, then that would work some of the time with some declarers. However, an inspired declarer might be very suspicious of you bidding 2heart on heartA10xxx and not much else. If he ruffs high with diamondK and draws the trumps East will only need a successful spade finesse for twelve tricks.
