Before you see the full deal, let me explain what happened in summation terms. Of the twenty one Easts who opened with 3heart, only two failed to score in the plus column, and of the eleven Easts who opened either with a weak 2heart or a multi, almost all defended North's 3NT and defeated the contract by between two and four tricks. The two Easts who passed went negative. It's a useful hand for demonstrating that you have to get into the bidding!
