Mike won the lead with the jack and played a diamond in an attempt to get to hand for the trump finesse. West hopped up with the ace and led another heart, won with North's nine. Declarer realised that an unsuccessful trump finesse would lead to another heart lead from West and an almost certain over-ruff by East, so clubAKQ were cashed throwing three heart winners from dummy! A trump finesse was followed by returning to hand with a diamond and another trump finesse. This process was repeated and declarer ended with twelve tricks for an excellent score.
