Well done indeed to the Leicestershire team who won the Pachabo Cup at the weekend. For Paul Bowyer and Jim Mason it was their second win in recent years, but for Peter Harvey and OAP Tony Odams it was the third time, having won way back in 1978.

The Pachabo, the inter-county teams-of-four trophy, it is the one event in the EBU calendar which is scored by point-a-board:- Match-Point Pairs with attitude. You play a three board round against each other counties, scoring two victory points for a win and one for a draw on each board. In addition there are four extra VPs which are decided on the total aggregate, making a total of 10 available in each match. It's a really wonderful tournament to play in.
