There is a lovely little line - once you think of it. You play the diamondJ from the dummy! What does West do? If he wins the defence can cash their other two heart winners but that is the end of the defence. Your spadeQ is a protected late entry to the diamonds, and you could even jettison diamondA on the last heart if you wished. If West decides to duck diamondJ you will be unable to access all your allotted diamond winners, but with three already in the bag you can switch to spades to make game with three diamonds, four spades, one heart and one club.

Neat soultion eh?
